Breedlove Giving Me NO Love...

For some reason my Breedlove has been giving me so much grief with tuning. I definitely need to take it somewhere else for a setup by the time this is all said and done.

Chad's In the End work, May 20, 2009

Ok! We're past May, Ask You is complete and released and all tributes to my mom were accomplished. Now we shall continue with the last half of the What To Keep & Let Go saga. haha "saga". I'm such a dork.

Preparation is key and Chad came into the studio knowing exactly what he was doing for In the End. Props to him for all his hard work and dedication to his sound.

Chad Rockin' His Part

I believe he'll tell you this is his favorite song to play on the album. And you can definitely tell. It is in fact my LEAST favorite song to sing on the album and imagine it will take a few times to get it just right on all accounts. We're thinking of adding some strings in there somewhere...

Chad was on FIRE! Dave and I both agreed that Chad's 3rd take was a keeper but he is a perfectionist (or just playing it safe) which are BOTH great qualities for this type of project and so he did a couple more. I think he was just having a blast being there. Good to have him!

Tattoo Finally Realized

Here is the tattoo that I finally got in honor of my mom who passed away 12 years ago. Now she will always be with me (not that she wasn't before...)
